Taimur Hassan

Founder

Taimur Hassan is the founder of Hassan Advisors, where he leads the firm's business valuation and advisory engagements. The practice serves owners of closely held businesses, healthcare organizations, and the counsel and investors who advise them — bringing analytical rigor and a long-term, owner-operator mindset to questions of fair market value, ownership transitions, and capital allocation.

With a background spanning management consulting and institutional investing, Taimur approaches each engagement from the perspective of how an informed buyer, seller, or fiduciary would actually weigh the business — not solely through the lens of standard appraisal methodology.

He began his career at McKinsey & Company, advising clients across healthcare, financial services, and other industries. He later worked as an investor at Citadel and DeRoy & Devereaux, focusing on valuing businesses and the strategies that create durable value over time. He currently also serves as Director of Acquisitions & Partnerships at One Health Partners, where he leads partnership evaluation and strategic growth initiatives. In that role he has worked directly with dozens of founders through the evaluation, diligence, and acquisition of their businesses — firsthand experience with how transactions actually come together, and with what a business is worth to the buyer across the table.

Taimur earned his BBA from the University of Michigan and his MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Raised in Ann Arbor, Taimur is a passionate tennis player, car enthusiast, and lifelong investor.

Approach

Valuation and advisory work sits at the intersection of finance, operations, and — in regulated sectors — the rules that constrain how value can be measured and exchanged. Effective counsel requires fluency in all three. Our practice is built around methodologies that withstand third-party scrutiny: by counterparties, regulators, courts, and the standards-setting bodies whose guidance frames the work.

We accept a limited number of engagements at any given time. Clients receive direct access to the senior practitioner through every phase of the work, and deliverables are prepared to a standard intended for the most demanding audiences a transaction or matter may reach.

Clients we serve

  • — Owners of closely held businesses across industries, from professional practices to industrial companies
  • — Physician groups, healthcare organizations, and the investors active in healthcare services
  • — Private equity sponsors and platform investors
  • — Counsel engaged in transactions, tax matters, and disputes requiring independent valuation
  • — Individual investors and families seeking disciplined, low-cost portfolio management

Standards and credentials

Engagements are conducted in accordance with the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and the standards of recognized professional bodies as applicable to each matter. Credentialing detail is provided on engagement.
